The Leadership Summer Program
In - Person and Online Activities
July and August 2022
We are excited to announce an immersive and unique leadership program for students aged 12-17 years old.
This weeklong exploration of Leadership and its many aspects will combine experiential learning and provide students with an opportunity to lead discussion and exercises. Our in-person experience will be held within unique settings in Toronto!
The LEADER (Learning and Exploring with Activities in Different Environments and Realism) program promises to help your youth explore the various forms of leadership. Each day will have a different focus with different challenges and activities.
In-Person Activities
(offered Week of July 18th and August 21st)
Cost $400 + HST
Day 1
Leaders are Readers! We will meet at the Toronto Reference Library and discuss and explore reading and how it can benefit a leader.
We will explore this massive library and learn how leaders are readers
Day 2
Leaders on the Field! We will meet at the Rogers Centre and have discussions about being a leader on the playing field. How do athletes embrace becoming a leader and how do they get the most out of their teammates!
Day 3
Leaders of the Environment! We will meet at High Park and discuss how leadership can help our Environment and the planet.
How can we lead others through this challenging time in history?
Day 4
Leaders of the Boardroom! We will meet in the Financial District and discuss how business leaders impact our society in many ways.
How do our visionary leaders impact their companies and the people that work for them?
Day 5
Leaders in the Community! We will meet at Nathan Phillips Square and discuss how community leaders help their neighborhoods.
Whether it’s a local councillor or a leader of a grass roots community group we will discuss how these local leaders deliver results to the places they live
Each day includes a $10 meal voucher. Each day starts at 10am and will finish at approximately at 2 pm. Our facilitator will lead some of the day and our participants will also lead some of the exercises.
Online Activities
(offered Week of July 4th and August 8th)
Cost $200 + HST
Day 1
Leaders are Readers! We will discuss how reading can help a leader learn new techniques and leadership strategies.
We will have a guest speaker attend and help to provide real-life examples of the power of reading!
Day 2
Leaders on the Field! We will discuss what does leadership look like on the playing field. How are some athletes able to improve their performance and those of their teammates?
Day 3
Leaders of the Environment! We will discuss how leadership can help the planet. Who is leading the way to help improve our planet and what does leadership in this area look like.
Day 4
Leaders of the Boardroom! We will discuss how business leaders impact their business and society as a whole.
What must a good business leader consider when making decisions that impact others. A panel discussion with local business leaders will offer insights into the daily life of a leader.
Day 5
Leaders in the Community! We will discuss how local community leaders often have the greatest impact on their neighborhoods.
Whether it’s a politician or a leader of a grass roots organization the students will learn how this powerful form of leadership is the lifeblood of the community!
