Engaging Readers Book Club
- Runs from January to June phasing during school breaks. The price is $150+ HST for the year.
- Class is Wednesday from 6p-7pm. Drop in format, perfect for flexible schedules.
- This book club will meet weekly to discuss the book of the month and have deeper discussion about themes, characters and plot.
- Members have access to a google classroom where optional activities and discussion boards will enhance the club experience.
- Books suitable for tweens and teens with different genres.
- Books selected by the members with a few spotlight books selected by our facilitator.
- Perfect for the child that loves to read, or is looking to deepen their understanding of books!

Emerging Speakers (Wednesdays)
- Runs from Wednesday September 20th to December 15th from 4:30p-5:30pm
- Cost is $360, multiple child discount applies.

- If parent signs up for the yearly course they will save $60.

Emerging Speakers
- This course is suitable for students aged 7-11 years of age.
- Basics of speech construction will be further explored and practiced.
- Vocabulary and word choices for effective communication will be studied. Students will learn how to use language to project confidence.
- Students will learn how to conduct a “demo talk”. Students will learn how to demonstrate a skill, craft, etc. to an audience effectively.
- How to sell your ideas and persuade an audience with power.
- During the course students will deliver multiple speeches, both individually and within groups.
- Each class will feature an “Off the Top” component that allows students to practice impromptu speaking skills. These sessions will improve conversational and interview skills.

Speak Up to Stand Out
- Classes will run from January 18th to June 20th for a total of 22 weeks
- Students will continue to practice the skill of internalization of speeches. This will allow for a more natural delivery to speeches and presentations.
- Inspirational speaking will be deeply explored, and students will learn how to construct an inspirational speech that engages the audience.
- Final project will be for the students to deliver a 5–7-minute inspirational speech to an audience of community leaders.
- The use of visualization to help improve speech delivery and reduce anxiety associated with doing presentations.
- We will continue to explore storytelling and how to use it to make presentations more effective and engaging for an audience.
- Focus on skills that students will need to deliver school projects and assignments. Word choices, slide construction, how to deliver effective group presentations, etc.
- Each class will feature an “Off the Top” component that allows students to practice impromptu speaking skills. These sessions will improve conversational and interview skills.
