Engaging Youth Speakers is our in-person program for students ages 12 and up who want to take their speaking and presentation skills to the next level. In small, supportive classroom groups, students practice how to connect with an audience, think fast, craft vivid stories, and deliver persuasive talks — all skills they’ll carry forward into school, leadership roles, and life.

- The Golden Rules of slide design that support — not distract — from the speaker
- Using language that creates vivid mental pictures
- The Power of Three for organizing ideas clearly
- How to wrap up with memorable conclusions
- Final Project: Deliver a 3–4 minute speech on a topic they’re passionate about
Level 2: Bringing Stories & History to Life
- How to turn historical figures or events into compelling stories
- Multi-sensory descriptions that make a speech unforgettable
- Editing and refining speeches for greater impact
- Off the Top! challenges to think fast on historical topics
- Final Project: Present a 4–6 minute speech that brings history to life
Level 3: Mastering the Art of Persuasion
- The three pillars of persuasive speaking
- Using the stage with purpose and presence
- Body language that reinforces key points
- Persuasive storytelling and structuring arguments
- Off the Top! practice to handle questions and think critically under pressure
- Final Project: Deliver a 5–7 minute persuasive speech to an audience
